Sixers partner with 100% Aboriginal owned and managed organisation for Indigenous Round

The Adelaide 36ers are proud to announce a new partnership with The RAW Group, a 100% Aboriginal owned and managed company, as the club’s official Game Day Partner for its NBL26 Indigenous Round game.

The Sixers will host the Illawarra Hawks on Sunday at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre from 4:00pm as part of the Indigenous Round.

The partnership with The Raw Group celebrates the shared values of community, culture, and connection, aligning with the spirit of the NBL’s Indigenous Round, which honours the rich contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to Australian sport and society.

Founded and operated in South Australia, The RAW Group delivers industry-leading solutions across civil construction, traffic management, labour hire and more, while maintaining a strong commitment to Indigenous employment and empowerment.

Adelaide 36ers CEO Nic Barbato said the club was honoured to join forces with such an inspiring organisation.

“We’re incredibly proud to partner with The RAW Group for this year’s Indigenous Round,” Mr Barbato said.

“RAW’s commitment to cultural pride, opportunity and excellence mirrors the values we want to represent as a club.

“Their story is one of leadership and purpose, and we’re excited to work with them in celebrating First Nations cultures on such an important occasion.”

The partnership will see The RAW Group prominently featured throughout the Indigenous Round game, including on-court activations and community engagement initiatives designed to highlight the power of inclusion and collaboration.

“RAW’s partnership with the Adelaide 36ers embodies our shared commitment to community, connection, and opportunity,” said The Raw Group’s Managing Director Allan Jones.

“This event provides an important platform to recognise and celebrate First Nations culture and heritage, and to acknowledge the profound contribution First Nations people have made to Australian basketball.

“We are deeply honoured to take part."

The NBL Indigenous Round is also proudly presented by club partner TAFE.

The Adelaide 36ers will wear a special Indigenous Round jersey designed by local artist Temaana Yundu Sanderson-Bromley with support from students at the Aboriginal Basketball Academy when they take on the Hawks on Sunday.
