The Sixers have signed their third import and filled their NBL27 roster

The Adelaide 36ers are thrilled to announce the re-signing of John Jenkins for the NBL27 season, with the veteran sharpshooter returning as the club’s third import and filling the final position on its playing roster.

After arriving midway through NBL26, Jenkins quickly established himself as a valuable contributor on and off the court, helping the 36ers reach the NBL Championship Series.

The former NBA first-round draft pick brought elite shooting, professionalism and leadership to the group, seamlessly integrating into the club’s culture.

Jenkins originally joined Adelaide in January 2026 after a career that included 170-plus NBA games and extensive international experience across Europe, Asia and Puerto Rico.

The experienced guard has also played 10 times for Team USA.

Last season, Jenkins played 17 games for the Sixers, averaging 10 points, one assist, and one rebound, shooting 45 per-cent from the field including 40.2 per-cent from three-point range.

Adelaide 36ers General Manager of Basketball Operations Matt Weston said retaining Jenkins was an important part of the club’s plans for NBL27.

“John made a significant impact from the moment he arrived at our club,” Weston said.

“His professionalism, preparation and approach to his craft are of the highest standard. He leads through his actions every day and sets a great example for everyone around him.

“Beyond his playing ability, John is a high-character person who embraced our club, our city and everything we are building. He quickly earned the respect of his teammates and staff through the way he conducts himself both on and off the court.

“From a basketball perspective, he brings proven scoring ability, elite shooting and a wealth of experience from some of the best leagues in the world. His ability to stretch defences, make smart decisions and perform in big moments makes him an incredibly valuable player for our group.

“We’re excited to have John back in Adelaide and look forward to seeing him continue to play an important role for us in NBL27.”

With Jenkins re-signed, the Adelaide 36ers have now finalised their NBL27 playing roster as the club continues preparations for another championship push.
