The Adelaide 36ers have bolstered their roster with the signing of South Sudanese international Bul Kuol on a two-year deal.
A tenacious defender with the ability to impact the game offensively, Kuol brings a well-rounded skillset and strong NBL experience to Adelaide.
The 29-year-old is currently working his way back to full fitness after sustaining an ACL injury in January.
Kuol has appeared in 133 NBL games across stints with Cairns and Sydney, averaging 9.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.
He was named the NBL Rookie of the Year in 2022 during his time with the Taipans and has since built a reputation as one of the league’s most intense and physical perimeter players.

Adelaide 36ers General Manager of Basketball Operations Matt Weston said Kuol’s recent championship experience would be a major asset for the group.
“Bul is a proven competitor who brings toughness, versatility and a team-first mentality,” Weston said.
“He’s someone who can guard multiple positions, apply pressure defensively and still make an impact on the offensive end. That balance is incredibly valuable in today’s game.
“Coming off a championship season, he understands what it takes to win at the highest level in this league. That experience, combined with his professionalism and work ethic, will make him a great addition to our group.”
Kuol joins Flynn Cameron, Zylan Cheatham, Bryce Cotton, Ben Griscti, Isaac Humphries, Nick Rakocevic and Isaac White as contracted players for the Sixers ahead of the NBL27 season.
