Round 11 Preview v Brisbane Bullets

Last time we saw the Adelaide 36ers they had a brilliant overtime win and now the Sixers return to action this Friday night on the road to the Brisbane Bullets looking to keep the momentum rolling.
It has been and up and down NBL season for the 36ers, but the last time they hit the court was a memorable Sunday afternoon in front of 5000 fans at Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
Just three days after a disappointing loss in Tasmania to the JackJumpers, the Sixers were back on their home floor and the challenge was significant against the defending champion Melbourne United who arrived in Adelaide on an eight-game winning streak.
However, the 36ers came out motivated and put together a terrific performance but still, with under a minute to go they found themselves four points down and needed to pull something out of the fire.
Enter Dusty Hannahs who turned match-winner for the Sixers to get the game to overtime and then in the extra period, he took over before Kai Sotto closed the door on the eventual 88-83 victory to improve them to a 4-6 record on the season.
It was just the shot in the arm the 36ers needed on the heels of three consecutive losses at the hands of the Melbourne, Illawarra and Tasmania.
The Sixers were then keen to build on that momentum and had a couple of games scheduled for Round 10 of the #NBL22 season, but they didn’t eventuate and now they are back in action this Friday night in Brisbane.
With the 36ers playing their first game in almost two weeks, they will be keen to come out to continue that momentum from the win over Melbourne and bring the defensive intensity, according to coach CJ Bruton.
"We're trying to break it up a little bit by showing video," Bruton said.
"They've had a couple more days' rest after playing four games in eight days so it's about our execution in the half court trying to get better in that space.
"We are continuing to work on our defence as well which was great against Melbourne and we need it to be great again on the road now."
Adelaide is coming up against a Brisbane team on Friday night also needing to bounce back after losing their past four matches to the Kings, United, Phoenix and Taipans.
The last three of those losses for the Bullets have been on their home floor at Nissan Arena and this is their last match in front of their home fans in this four-game streak, so they will be determined to bounce back.
However, the Bullets will again be missing former 36ers guard Nathan Sobey through injury but they aren't a group short on talent.
They have another former Adelaide guard Jason Cadee capable of stepping up while Lamar Patterson and Robert Franks are genuine stars of the league, Ty Harrison is an imposing big man and the stage is set for a fascinating contest between two teams trying to find some momentum.
