The Adelaide 36ers have signed a second development player for NBL26 with the recruitment of local talent Magok Manyang.
Manyang is a 6’9 forward currently playing for the Central District Lions in NBL1 Central.
The 23-year-old spent the last few seasons in the US college system at Louisiana State University at Eunice, New Mexico Junior College and Mid-America Christian University but has returned to play at his junior club.
He is averaging 12.75 points and 7.25 rebounds per game for the Lions this season.
“Magok tried out for a DP position a couple of years ago and we’ve kept an eye on his progress during his stint in the US and since he’s been back home,” said 36ers General Manager of Basketball Operations, Matt Weston.
“He’s got a big motor and good athleticism for a big guy, and we like his ability to shoot with range and rebound both ends.
“It’ll be great to see his ongoing development within our program.”
Manyang graduated earlier this year with a Bachelor of Psychology from Mid-America Christian University.
He is the older brother of Deng Manyang, who was announced as a fellow development player in July.
