The Adelaide 36ers are proud to announce a new partnership with Learn Fresh to deliver the internationally recognised NBA Math Hoops program to schools across South Australia and the Northern Territory.
The Adelaide 36ers will be the first professional basketball organisation outside of the United States globally to partner with Learn Fresh on the NBA Math Hoops Program.
NBA Math Hoops is an innovative educational program that combines basketball, mathematics and teamwork to help students build confidence and improve engagement in STEM learning. Using the excitement of basketball and the NBA, students develop key maths skills through interactive gameplay, real world statistics and collaborative classroom activities.
The program has been successfully implemented in schools and communities around the world. To date, Learn Fresh programs have reached over 1.7 million students across six continents. The program helps students strengthen problem solving, communication and critical thinking skills while creating a fun and inclusive learning environment. A randomized controlled trial study completed in 2025 showed that students who completed 17-24 hours of NBA Math Hoops programming gained 4-5 months of learning on content covered in the program.
Through this partnership, the Adelaide 36ers will support schools and teachers to bring the program into classrooms, helping students connect learning with STEM in a meaningful and engaging way.
