White signed for second DP stint

The Adelaide 36ers have signed another Development Player for NBL27 with local guard Harvey White returning to the club for a second stint.

White returns to Adelaide after two seasons in the US college system, having previously spent the NBL24 season as a development player with the Sixers.

A Sturt junior who has also played for the Southern Tigers in NBL1 Central, White spent the past two seasons at Colorado Mesa University.

Last season, as a sophomore he averaged 10.5 points, 3.4 assists and 1.0 steal per game, narrowly missing selection in the All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference team, instead earning an honourable mention.

White had committed to Washburn University for the upcoming season, but the 20-year-old has instead elected to remain in his home state and continue his development with the 36ers.

“Harvey has been training with our group over the last few weeks and has really caught the attention of the coaches with his work rate and willingness to learn,” said 36ers General Manager of Basketball Matt Weston.

“He’s a hard-working guard who competes all game, brings great energy and can impact at both ends of the floor.

“He was still at high school when he was with our club a couple of years ago and he has come a long way in his development since then.

“We’re excited to see him continue to grow over the course of the season as he spends more time with the group.”

White joins Deonte Williams as the 36ers’ Development Players for NBL27.
