White wins back-to-back MVPs

Isaac White has been named the NBL1 West MVP for the second consecutive season, backing up his impressive 2025 campaign.

Having impressed during his first NBL season with the Adelaide 36ers, the 28-year-old returned to the Rockingham Flames in the NBL1 West competition and continued from where he left off.

He averaged 27.63 points, 5.16 assists, 5.53 rebounds, 1.11 steals per game in his 19 games for the Flames, to guide them to second place on the NBL1 West ladder with 18 wins from 22 games.

White also took home Rockingham’s club MVP award, beating former 36ers teammate Michael Harris for the prize. Another former Sixer, Blake Jones won Rockingham’s Commitment to Excellence award.

White’s standout season also saw him selected in the NBL1 West First Team, but he says he has bigger ambitions for the remaining few weeks of that competition’s season.

“(The award) means a lot because as we can all acknowledge, the league is going in a really good direction,” White said after receiving the MVP award.

“There’s a tonne of talent… some really high quality players, so to be named MVP is a high honour for sure.

“We had a couple of really good team victories this year but obviously the objective is to make a little splash in the finals, and that will top anything I think.”

Having taken home the competition’s highest individual honour for a second straight time, White will now lead Rockingham in a qualifying final against Joondalup Wolves on Saturday, hoping to go one better after the Flames fell to the Warwick Senators in the Preliminary Final last season.
